We had forgotten what rain was like. But after running through downtown Orlando in a torrential downpour, we've gotten more than our fix. Hopefully we can bring some of these rainclouds back to Austin, since they seem to have been following us ever since we arrived in Orlando. We played a really rad venue in Orlando last night called Backbooth, with some really great bands as well. Roadkill Ghost Choir from Florida and Last Good Tooth from Rhode Island. We've been crashing with Bailey's cousin Mike at a beautiful house on Clear Lake, right across from downtown Orlando. When we haven't been playing shows, we've been swimming, playing with the most energetic dog on the entire planet, and watching Through the Wormhole. This kind of feels unreal at this point, and we still have four more shows, tonights' being in Lake Worth.
Two nights ago, we played the 1982 bar in Gainesville at their free video game night. The show went really well, but the highlight of the nice was definitely playing Sonic 3 on an original SEGA. We also played with a really rad punk duo called Mellissa & Paul from New Jersey. Basically, you should go listen to all of these bands, because they rock and they're making this tour even sweeter than it's already been thus far. The Austin Homesickness Syndrome has only slightly set in, but I'm confident that we'll be able to power through and play some more brilliant places and meet some more brilliant people. Be well, you crazy cavaliers.
